“My final breaking point was Trump’s poor response to COVID-19 & the BLM movement. Let’s be real here, I have never liked Trump from the start. I have known that he is misogynistic, sexist, racist, xenophobic, and anti-lgbtqia+. I cannot support someone who does not support or respect me and the people around me.

The exact moments in which I decided enough was enough, was when Trump held his Tulsa rally amidst COVID-19 as well as his response to the BLM movement calling peaceful protestors “thugs” and neo-confederates “good people”. Not only did Trump hold his crowded rally in Tulsa during a pandemic, but also during the anniversary month of the Tulsa Massacre as well as planning to hold it originally on Juneteenth. This rally is a slap in the face to health care workers, as well as to the black community; to hold a rally in the city where a genocide of black Americans occurred and on Juneteenth is insanely disrespectful. Trump has a rally in Jacksonville, Florida on Aug 27; the anniversary of Ax Handle Saturday. When 200 white men, including KKK members, attacked black protestors opposing racial segregation during a sit-in. These scheduled rallies are coincidental on Trump’s part and it’s time to call out his racist actions.

Ignoring racism is racist. Ignoring racism is privilege. Use your privilege to amplify the voices of black individuals via protests or social media. In order to grow together, we must acknowledge our privilege and use it to progress not regress.

The goal of this post is to inform my followers on Trump’s unforgivable behavior and lack of leadership. In order to take a stand against Trump in 2020, you must REGISTER. TO. VOTE. Educate yourself & others on Trump’s disinformation. And, VOTE HIM OUT IN NOVEMBER. Vote out hate. Let’s make America great, for once and for all.”
